Supporting The Pavilion

Who are we?

The Rattlesden Community Council is a Registered Charity (304936) established to support recreational and cultural activities for the benefit of the parish of Rattlesden and wider district. In 2011 we opened a new all-purpose pavilion and playing area following extensive fundraising. We are not supported from any public funds – we raise our income from hiring our facilities and from fundraising through our Lucky Numbers Lottery draw, and special projects.   

What does it cost to run the facilities?

It costs approximately £5000 per year to keep the pavilion and playing field in good order – upward of £2000 per year goes on grass cutting alone.   

How are we managed?

We are managed by a small committee of volunteers including a Chair; Secretary; Treasurer and a Pavilion Manager. 

How you can support the RCC

We need more volunteers for our committee to help manage our events, our fundraising and the general day to day management of the pavilion and playing field. We also need parents/carers of early years children in the village to help look after our new play area to ensure it remains in tip top condition.

Playing the Pavilion Lottery

The Pavilion Lottery is open to local residents. By playing you will also be helping with your financial contribution  – play for just £1 per month for a chance to win one of our monthly prizes of £30, £20, and £10. We also have first prizes of £200 in December and June.  


Play by Standing Order

If you bank online or on a mobile app then you can set up a new SO in a few steps:

1. In the 'Payments' or 'Regular Payments' section, choose to 'set up a new Standing Order' 

2. Choose to ‘pay someone new’ 

a. Payee name: Rattlesden Community Council 

b. Account Number: 92758905

c. Sort Code: 09-01-54 

3. The entered bank details will usually be verified by your bank, and you should review this looks correct before confirming you wish to set up the SO.

4. Confirm the SO amount of £12 per year, starting 1st of the next calendar month. An end date is optional, and you can simply cancel the SO if / when you want to stop playing.

5. IMPORTANT: In the Reference field please add the first line of your address – we must have this to be able to send your prize, if you win!

6. Finally, your banking app may ask for your account security code to complete set-up of the SO.

  

If you don’t use online banking then you can complete and return a Pavilion Lottery Order Form. You can choose to set up a standing order (preferred), or pay by cash or cheque each year. Then post your form in the box in Rattlesden Shop, or return to Sue Theeman.
