The Rattlesden Community Council is a Registered Charity (304936) established to support recreational and cultural activities for the benefit of the parish of Rattlesden and wider district. In 2011 we opened a new all-purpose pavilion and playing area following extensive fundraising. We are not supported from any public funds – we raise our income from hiring our facilities and from fundraising through our Lucky Numbers Lottery draw, and special projects.
It costs approximately £5000 per year to keep the pavilion and playing field in good order – some £1800 per year goes on grass cutting alone.
We are managed by a small committee of volunteers including a Chair; Secretary; Treasurer and a Pavilion Manager.
We need more volunteers for our committee to help manage our events, our fundraising and the general day to day management of the pavilion and playing field. We also need parents/carers of early years children in the village to help look after our new play area to ensure it remains in tip top condition.
If you are interested and you would like to help then please contact us, we will be delighted to talk to you!
By joining our monthly Lucky Numbers Lottery you will also be helping with your financial contribution – just £1 per month buys a number in the draw for monthly prizes of £30, £20, and £10 and two prizes of £200 in December and June.
