We are a Registered Charity (304936) established to support recreational and cultural activities for the benefit of the parish of Rattlesden and wider district. In 2011 we opened a new all-purpose pavilion and playing area following extensive fundraising. 2 years ago we completely refurbished our early years play areas. We are not supported from any public funds – we raise our income from hiring our facilities and from fundraising through our Lucky Numbers draw participants and for special projects.
It costs approximately £5000 per year to keep the pavilion and playing field in good order – some £1800 per year goes on grass cutting alone.
We are managed by a small committee including a Chair; Secretary; Treasurer and a Bookings Secretary. We are all volunteers, and our only paid employee is our cleaner.
We need more volunteers for our committee to help manage our events, our fundraising and the general day to day management of the pavilion and playing field. We also need parents/carers of early years children in the village to help look after our new play area to ensure it remains in tip top condition.
We also need you to buy a Lucky Number – only £1 per month buys a number in the draw for monthly prizes of £30, £20, and £10 and two prizes of £200 in December and June.
If you are interested and you would like to help please contact anntate@live.co.uk who will be delighted to talk to you.
